• As part of our commitment to sustainability, we are only providing digital e-Gift Cards.

• An e-gift card can be used in the same way as a traditional gift card. The only differences between a traditional gift card and an e-gift card are the delivery and presentation. An e-Gift Card is sent to the recipient via e-mail. The recipient can then print out a copy of the e-Gift Card for redemption at a property or show it to hotel staff on a personal handheld device.

E-Gift cards can be used at the time of redemption to pay for charges including accommodations, dining, spa services and any incidental charges directly charged by the property, excluding any third party operating outlets. We recommend advising the staff member at the time of booking that a gift card will be applied. Gift cards must be presented at time of check in and/or prior to purchases or services rendered.  Gift cards cannot be used for any prepaid reservations.  Gift cards cannot be redeemed after the time of service.

• E-Gift cards can be purchased on our website ranging from $50 to $2000 in USD.  Payment may be made through Visa, American Express, MasterCard and Discover.

• For all E-Gift Card orders, you can have the gift cards delivered to multiple email addresses.

• Your credit card will be charged when you click “Complete Purchase” during the checkout process.

• Traditional physical gift cards can be registered for balance protection. You will be asked to enter your email address, create a password and enter the 20 or 21-digit number on your card and 4-digit pin (if applicable). Lost or stolen physical gift cards can only be replaced if they are registered. Register your gift card now.

• Unless otherwise stated by applicable law, you may not return or cancel Gift Cards after the order has been dispatched to the recipient.

Upon purchase or receipt of any gift card, the owner of the gift card agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions. 

Redemption of a Gift Card

Gift cards can be used at any participating properties managed by New Waterloo at the time of redemption to pay for charges including accommodations, dining, spa services and any incidental charges directly charged by the property. Gift cards may not be applied retroactively to pay for amounts already paid or charged in connection with prior bookings or incidental expenses.

An e-gift card can be used in the same way as a physical gift card. An e-Gift Card is sent to the recipient via e-mail. The recipient can then print out a copy of the e-Gift Card for redemption at a New Waterloo property or show it to hotel staff on a personal handheld device.

To redeem an e-gift card, please provide the e-gift card number as a form of payment upon check-in or once services have been rendered. An e-gift card can be printed out for redemption or shown to hotel staff on a personal handheld device. When using an e-gift card for accommodations, we suggest advising the reservations associate at the time of booking that an e-gift card will be applied to the stay.

New Waterloo gift cards do not expire within 12 months of purchase.

Charges that exceed the stored value of a card may be settled with cash or a major credit card accepted by the property. If the card is redeemed for charges that are less than the value of the card, the balance will remain on the card.

New Waterloo gift cards can carry a balance, so any unused balance is stored for future use.

Monetary Gift Cards may be combined with other forms of payment. Guest charges in excess of the gift card’s stored value may be settled in cash, by major credit cards or other means of payment accepted at Kirkwood Collection properties.

Cancellation Policy

Gift Cards cannot be returned, redeemed for cash, used to purchase other Gift Cards, resold or used for promotional activities without the written approval of New Waterloo properties, except as required by law. In the case of any dispute, New Waterloo reserves the right to cancel any Gift Card that violates any of the terms and conditions attached to such Gift Card.

Lost and Stolen Cards

The Gift Card is a bearer instrument and New Waterloo is not responsible for lost, stolen or destroyed cards. To protect the gift card balance, please ensure that it is registered online. When notified that a gift card has been lost, stolen or destroyed, the existing balance will be frozen and a replacement card will be issued for that amount [upon verification]. Prior to notification, any use of the card is at your risk.

[Virtual Gift Cards / Electronic Gift Cards]

For [Electronic Gift Cards] purchased from this website, New Waterloo properties shall not be responsible for the non-receipt or the delay in receiving such Gift Card by its intended recipient for reasons beyond its control, including for example, (i) delay in the transmission of data due to 

system issues, (ii) inaccuracy of the contact and/or delivery details provided by the purchaser, or (iii) the fact that the email sent by or on behalf of New Waterloo is deemed to be spam or unwanted email.

Unlawful Conduct

Gift Cards that were obtained by unlawful means shall be null and void. Further, New Waterloo is not responsible for any unlawful conduct or fraud by any third party associated with the purchase or use of any Gift Card.

Promotion and Advertising

The Gift Card should not be used for the purpose of advertising or promoting products or services marketed by any third party other than New Waterloo properties unless prior written consent is given by the latter.

Miscellaneous

Use of this gift card constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions. New Waterloo reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions without prior notice.
